BMO is the worst bank I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with.
They never answer their phone, they never call back when you leave a message. You also can't skip most of their pre-recorded messages when you call so you can't even speed through the menu you have to wait for them to tell you three different times that their business hours have changed.
On location it's not better, I've been trying to make a change to my account and whoever I'm talking to give me a different set of instructions. Ultimately we reach a point where they need to contact me back to complete the process and they never do, then they don't reply to their e-mails either. I've been trying multiple time to get them to change certain things on my account and 4 months later it's still not done.
I've tried another BMO location and it was more of the same, except that their message box on their phone was usually full so I could not even leave a message, not that they ever call back anyway.
Avoid this bank at all cost, they shouldn't be in business anymore, I will be changing bank as soon as I can and I expect this process will be as excruciating as everything else is with BMO.

I've contacted this bank multiple times over the past month requesting assistance with an issue, and each time I was told someone would call me back. Despite their promises, no one ever followed up. I've been patient, but after more than a month of delays and being ignored, it's clear that customer service is not a priority here. This has been the worst service I've experienced ! Extremely disappointing and frustrating.

Best BMO service in Montréal I’ve had ever! Went in at about 10am and only waited in line for about 5-7 min and got my matter resolved in 15. Very professional and client-oriented staff, they helped me and even made a call to fasten the process! Definitely recommend :)

I regret to say that my experiences at this financial branch are always highly disappointing.
The service is INCREDIBLY slow, and the staff exhibit a concerning lack of attentiveness. The overall efficiency and customer care within the branch are severely lacking.
If not for my car loan, I would take my business elsewhere. I eagerly await the end of my car loan term, as it will mark the end of my association with their subpar service. I would advise seeking alternative options for your financial needs.

This bank has to be one of the worst ones in the market. I’m closing all my accounts with them as soon as soon as possible. If you’re a student like me, they’ll eventually increase your plan fees without advising you first and then try to justify behind the fact that they have too many customers to let them know about the price increase and that’s it’s upon the customer to know that they have to update their status annually to avoid these augmentations. Yet, no one ever advises the customer that they have to update their student status to avoid a fee increase, not even the agent who opened the account to begin with. In other words, parents, students and adolescents, be very aware of this sneaky company that takes advantage of its younger customers by selling them bank plans and inform them on the advantages while omitting the disadvantages and crucial information.
Also, the employees of this branch particularly are so cold and nonchalant. The lack of care of customers is deplorable. I mean, the dispute department itself does not care at all for the customers and when answering a complaint only finds a solution that would benefit the company while neglecting the customer who’s disputing. So, if you wish to dispute a charge applied to your account, good luck! Because they’ll do their very best to not reimburse you and to discreetly make it seem as if you’re the one at fault for not knowing where the charge came from or for not reporting the issue earlier. As I said, this company only wants your money. They really don’t care about the well-being of their customers.
